The eye of the storm

Mid years are upon us all.

Some how it isn't as bad or as freaky as I thought it would be. I guess I've grown used to NOT having mid years anymore, but I haven't completely lost my mid year survival instincts. Hehe.

Election fever is upon Singapore.

I learnt something from SS and Lit. Lots of stuff. You may dismiss it as propaganda, but I say there's more behind it. I'm not a risk taker, and I believe in what I see. So if things keep up this way, you might say PAP has my vote if my constituency is contested in 2014. Wish all the opposition parties could be more respectable. Some are just political troublemakers. They make interesting reads in the newspaper anyway, and at least there are brain-cell-stimulating rallies to attend.

Ah well. 生活的小情趣。 :)

Jason is taking his first mid years this year. I wonder how he'll do? The whole family, with the exception of my dad, isn't too worried about his results right now. He's trying his best, and that's enough to me. Poor thing. My mom has already decided which institution he shall enter upon completion of the PSLE. Now, I don't hold anything against forward planning, except that Jason just turned 7 about 6 months ago.

I repeat, Poor Thing.

Life now, depending on my perspective, could be either dead boring, or too darn interesting.

So many...
1) Subjects
2) Issues
3) Problems
To deal with. Thankfully, I don't have as many as some of my friends. You know, those leeches whose eyes light up when they judge one by outer appearances and like what they see, and who then proceed to hang off one and suck their portion of peace out of the poor victim. Poor girl. Talk about annoying one-sided love. All that we, the bystanders can do, is to give her helpless pity. I don't mean to be mean (sorry about the pun), but frankly, I'm glad I got to see such an example. (Who knows, perhaps she doesn't really mind *shrugs*.)

I must have been stupid, crazy and out of my mind.
Mirror, mirror hanging on the wall, you don't have to tell me who's the biggest fool of all.

It's things like this that teach me the other side of life. The side we never see in imagination, in the future we so desire to have. So despite what some, I must assume, misled adults say about me, I find myself, at the end of the day, only a silly little girl. ^_^

Lalala.

Oh oh, before I go, I just discovered another dream of mine. To be a dictionary editor! So that ubiquitous won't mean "seemingly everywhere at the same time" anymore... Plus I could invent my own words! Won't that be so cool? ^_^

*Watches in dismay as one mark flies under the rainbow to the other very much unreachable side*
