My friend, you are the apple of my eye

Something I heard from a friend troubled me a lot.

So, I went to look for the lyrics to Deb Fung's Eternity. Problem was, I couldn't remember her last name, because the only time I ever heard Deb was when she came to my school to play for us the first chapel session of last year.

Anyway, I found the lyrics.

My friend you are the apple of my eye, light in my heart.
I don't know if you know how much you mean to me
Each day I pray for you
That Jesus reaches you
For you know that I want you with me in eternity.

Elainey, you were so helpful when you told me what you did in that sms. It's comforting to be reminded that God has His own timing for all of us.

I wish you were still a kid, that you were at least still praying. But who knows. God may have already started planting seeds in your heart since then. Even if I do not reap the harvest, at least let me be part of the sowing, that the harvest might actually take place.

For I know that I want you with me in eternity.

I'm so biased. There are so many friends of mine unsaved, yet this is the first time I've cried about it.

Apple of my eye, light in my heart. No, Elainey, I don't think it's just to fill a void in my heart. It was before, many times before. If you asked me again I think I would have an answer. (But you'd probably just scold me "aunttieee ah". Lol. I am not an auntie ok. Otherwise you are too. An even bigger auntie. )

I don't know if you know how much you mean to me. I wish I could tell you. But I guess I never will.

But I know you don't know how much you mean to God. And I want to tell you. And God willing, I will.
