Deep Blue

It's prelims now. Great. In fact, I'm already smack in the middle of it. Today was Biology Papers 1 and 2. Still...

Thank God for timely emails. :)

I'm feeling much better now, because it's taken away a burden that's been in my heart for a long time.

That I'm not good enough for God's blessings and love. That God won't really help me because I'm not, well, not good enough. Don't read my Bible enough, don't think about Him enough, don't pray enough.

But then...

"The children of Israel were to make tassels on the corners of their garments with “a blue thread in the tassels” (Numbers 15:38). The tassels reminded them to “do all My commandments, and be holy for your God” (v.40). The blue thread—the color of the heavens above—spoke of His immeasurable power and saving grace.

We still need reminders today. In the fuss and frenzy of our busy lives, we easily forget God and His passion for us. We forget that He lives within and around us and loves us with eternal affection. It helps to have something to signify His presence. Blue can be one of those signs.
“The first step is to remember,” says Aslan in C. S. Lewis’ The Silver Chair. Aslan, a figure of Christ, tells Jill to “remember the signs” he has given her.

If you learn God’s signs—like the significance of the color blue—it will be easier to remember God’s love. Blue can remind you of the invisible realm above and all around, unseen and yet as real as anything you can see. A mountain lake, a glacial crevasse, an alpine forget-me-not, a cerulean sky—all remind us of heaven and God’s unfathomable love.

When you see blue, think of God’s love, and especially His love for you. — David H. Roper"

And so, I'll never be good enough, I'll never read enough of the Bible, I'll never be prayerful enough. But God loves me, that I know, and He'll see me through the storm.

Just like the way the sky is always blue, even behind the blackest clouds.

I don't believe in coincidences, so I'll just say, "Thanks God", because I've just received my important reminder.

Speaking of coincidences, today I paused in what I was doing to help another. I reached the gate before him, but I waited a minute or two so he could catch up. Guess what? The moment he stepped through the gate, his bus arrived. So I guess if I hadn't held the gate open for him he would have missed it.

Maybe I read too much, but I don't think there are such things as coincidences, so somehow, I think, I've been part of a divine plan. Maybe.

This little entry can only say so much. Sometimes the mystery of the heart cannot be explained or express by limited language. The problem's still there, the exam's still there, but I feel more at peace now. Somehow.

It's a weird feeling. To know you're not going to do well, but yet still feel calm. Haha.

Anyway. Someone else may need an important reminder too, so I thought I'd do my part too.

I am guilty. I do fall short. And nothing I do will ever make me worthy of God's love. Jesus did that for me. By His Blood, I am clean. In His Name, I am worthy. And that makes God's love the most unconditional and amazing love I've ever and will ever know.

Thank you Father.

So when I see blue, I will remember God's love, especially his unfanthomable love for me.

I don't know if the person who sent me that email will see this, but thank you so very much. I needed it.
我相信 我相信 最爱我的就是阿爸父 他看我为宝贝
